 CGTP-IN SOLIDÁRIA COM MARCHA SINDICAL NA ÍNDIA
Caros camaradas,
Em nome dos trabalhadores portugueses por nós representados, enviamos aos trabalhadores indianos e às suas organizações sindicais representativas, INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, AICCTU, UTUC e várias outras federações sindicais nacionais, a nossa fraterna solidariedade por ocasião da marcha dos trabalhadores indianos para o Parlamento, em protesto pelo aumento dos produtos alimentares e reduções salariais.
Apoiamos plenamente as vossas reivindicações contidas na vossa carta reivindicativa de 5 pontos, designadamente exigindo medidas correctivas ao aumento dos preços e à especulação no mercado de bens essenciais; protecção no emprego; implementação de todas as leis laborais; eliminação das normas restritivas de segurança social baseadas na pobreza; criação de um fundo nacional de apoio ao sector informal e o fim do desinvestimento no sector público.
Em Portugal, os trabalhadores e o povo estão a ser atingidos por violentas políticas governamentais anti-sociais, sob a justificação da redução do défice e de “acalmar os mercados”. Os capitalistas no nosso país e em todo o mundo estão a tentar fazer com que os trabalhadores e os povos paguem uma crise cuja responsabilidade reside na gula infindável e natureza especulativa do próprio sistema.
É por isso que a CGTP-IN considera que este é um momento crucial para organizar a resistência e luta dos trabalhadores e dos sindicatos, em todo o mundo, em defesa dos nossos direitos e conquistas e contra as injustiças e as desigualdades.
Em Portugal, a CGTP-IN promove também um vasto conjunto de acções de luta, designadamente uma manifestação nacional em 19 de Março de 2011, exigindo novas políticas que garantam um novo rumo para os trabalhadores e o povo.

 CGTP-IN of Portugal in Solidarity with Delhi Trade Union March on Feb 23
Dear Comrades,
On behalf of the Portuguese workers we represent, we convey to the Indian workers and their representative trade union organizations, INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, AICCTU, UTUC and various National Federations, our fraternal solidarity on the occasion of the workers’ March to Parliament on rising food prices, falling incomes.
We are fully behind your claims around the five point charter of demands, namely seeking corrective measures to stem price rises and curb speculation in the commodity markets; employment protection; enforcement of all labour laws; removal of restrictive norms based on poverty and creation of a national fund for the unorganized sector and no disinvestment of central public sector enterprises.
In Portugal, workers and people are being targeted by government’s violent anti-social policies, with the excuse of cutting down the public deficit and of “appeasing the markets”. Capitalists in our country and across the world are trying to make the workers and peoples pay for a crisis whose responsibility lies in the system’s unending greed and speculative nature.
This is why the CGTP-IN believes, that this is a crucial moment to organise the resistance and struggle of the workers and trade unions, the world over, to protect our rights and gains and fight injustice and inequality.
In Portugal, the CGTP-IN is also organising a very large nationwide struggle, particularly with a national demonstration on 19 March 2011, to demand new policies that ensure a new course for our workers and people.
